the university of connecticut in
graphic design, artist nancy a. cook
began offering her distinctive 'block
prints graphics' designs in 1993 at her
first 'on island' boutique at block
island, r.i., hence the name, and later
at the two waterfront 'on island'
shops on the tiny caribbean island of
culebra, p.r.
the shops also featured nancy's
'island colors' handcrafted jewelry
and monotype prints, as well asher
eclectic, one- of -a- kind found object
kinetic chimes and sculptures.
now, no longer bound to daily store
business, nancy and creative partner
tom divide their time between their
r.i. new england and caribbean
studios, focusing on creating new
works and producing their best
